WOLFMOTHER Honored With GRAMMY In 'Best Hard Rock' Category

February 11, 2007

Australia's WOLFMOTHER was honored with a Grammy in the "Best Hard Rock Performance" category in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 49th annual Grammy Awards, which are being held tonight (Sunday, February 11) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The nominees in the "Hard Rock" category were as follows:

BUCKCHERRY - "Crazy Bitch"
NINE INCH NAILS - "Every Day Is Exactly The Same"
SYSTEM OF A DOWN - "Lonely Day"
TOOL - "Vicarious"
WOLFMOTHER - "Woman"

In a recent interview with The West Australian, WOLFMOTHER drummer Myles Heskett stated about the band's Grammy nomination, "We will just be the little Aussie band that shows up and looks around. In America, we are little compared to all of the dudes that are going to be there."

WOLFMOTHER were up against some of their biggest idols at the Grammys, nominated in the same category as NINE INCH NAILS, SYSTEM OF A DOWN and TOOL.

"I was a huge TOOL fan back in the day, I saw them at Hordern Pavilion and Newcastle Uni," said Heskett.

"They're all amazing bands ... it is an honor to be up against all those guys."
